I guess this might be a bit bias since I'm a programmer and I love databases, but I hate the whole "I'M NOT A NUMBER" attitude. Being a number is probably the most unique thing ever. In the sense that these hippies are against, the reason you're a number is so that there's a form of identification that no one else ever was, and will ever be. There are 124020 Davids, but there's only one 2148532.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is coming out soon. I really wanted my TF2 Sniper to have an AWP, so I prepurchased it on a whim yesterday, which gives access to the beta. I haven't played much yet, but the game seems to be mostly just an engine upgrade. This is fine for CS though. There are a couple new game modes, Arms Race and Demolition. They're both run off the idea of getting kills to upgrade your weapons, instead of buying them.
Arms Race is just a crazy deathmatch with no respawn time. Every time you get a kill, your weapon instantly upgrades. This means you never really have to reload. This is just completely hectic. My favourite of the two new game modes, but nothing beats the original game.
Demolition is more like classic Counter-Strike. Terrorists have to plant a bomb, and Counter-Terrorists don't want that at all. Weapons are earned by kills once again, but you don't get them immediately. The screen below is shown at the start of every round (sorry for the bad text colour), and you get whatever weapon you are progressed to.
So in conclusion, it's definitely replacing CS:S for me, though it probably won't be my #1 played FPS (Mann. vs Machine anyone?).
Zapper is almost half done. I'll post the 25th song, whatever it may be, in probably like 3 days. I also started a new game (again), which will kind of be like Pokemon Stadium I guess. Here's a really really early screenshot.
I'm totally overloading myself with things to do. I'm moving in less than 2 weeks now also. None of this stuff I'm doing will see the light of day for a while, but I'll keep making blog posts whenever enough gets done. Have a good one!
